Brass and Lucite Necklace: "Faerie Flower Bough"

This flower necklace is made for faeries and those fascinated by them. The frosted Lucite flower beads appear delicate but are as enduring as a brass bough.

I created the focal piece for this necklace using Lucite flowers in matte burgundy, matte dark olive, matte light aubergine, and matte raspberry, Lucite petals in matte purple velvet, and Lucite leaves in matte pale green, matte forest green and matte dark green that I wired to a leafy antiqued brass branch which I hand-curved.

I used mother-and-son antiqued brass chain and created connectors using two different sizes of antiqued brass leaves, one of which I decorated with an antiqued brass faerie and the other of which I decorated with a plum bead matching those used in the focal piece.

The necklace closes with an antiqued brass hook and eye closure. The necklace measures 20” (50.8cm) in length. The base (back) of the focal piece measures 2 ½” (6.35cm) across and 1 ½” (3.81cm) tall; it measures 5” (12.7cm) across, ¾” (1.905cm) deep, and 3” (7.62cm) tall when measuring the front (inclusive of beads).

I plucked this bough from a faerie garden where unique and delicate orchids and roses bloom and flower. A tiny faerie tagged along to bless this necklace and keep the faerie flowers fresh and vibrant forever.
